Efficiency classification has three efficiency classes:
IE1:	Standard efficiency
IE2:	High efficiency
IE3:	Premium efficiency

 Featured range: PPA SERIES

 

PREMIUM HIGH EFFICIENCY

The PPA Series premium high efficiency motor is approximately 3% more efficient than the standard motors offered in the South African market today which would save on electricity consumption.

CLASS H INSULATION

The PPA series has a Class H Insulation with a thermal protection of 180º.  Presently, standard motors supplied in the market only have a thermal protection of 155º.  The PPA series will ensure a longer life for the motors.

IP66 ENCLOSURES

The PPA series motor comes standard with an IP66 rating which is the highest rated motor supplied in the market today.  This ensures total protection against water and dust.

THRU-FLUSH PRESSURE GREASE RELIEF VALVES

The PPA series comes standard with re-greasing facilities which is a prerequisite for many end users in the market.  The motors can also be re-greased whilst they are running.  The bearings cannot be over-greased as they have a pressure relief valve to disperse excess grease.  One of the most common causes for electric motor failure is over-greasing of bearings.

OVERSIZED TERMINAL BOXES 

The PPA Series comes standard with oversized terminal boxes which make it easy to work in especially when you are using aluminium cables or cables with bi-metal lugs.

THERMISTORS

Thermistors are supplied as standard throughout the PPA range.

SPM VIBRATION SENSORS

SPM Vibration Sensors are supplied on motors 250 frame and above.  As most end users are very conscious about condition monitoring of their motors, this is an added benefit as it allows the technician to monitor the bearings and detect possible bearing failures before they happen.

ANTI-CONDENSATION HEATERS

The PPA motors are supplied with anti-condensation heaters from frame size 250 and above as standard.

3-YEAR WARRANTY

The PPA series motor is the only motor in the South African market at present which offers a 3-Year Warranty.

 

The motors are manufactured in accordance with SABS-IEC 60034 and 60072 specifications.  We also offer motors certified to Zone 1 and Zone 2.
